One of my favorite places to send nature lovers is up to Avatar Grove over in Port Renfrew. This is an area of BC not a lot of locals venture off to, but my feeling on that is this will be changing rapidly in the coming years. Avatar Grove is one of the most magical parts of the rainforest on Vancouver Island and it doesn’t require a six hour hike to get here.
I wanted to bring attention to a group we admire and want to help spread the word about saving our rainforests. First take a look at the photos below and see what was almost torn down. Then take note of the Ancient Forest Alliance which does a lot of great work fighting those who want to remove these special places.
