Canada’s Newest Resort On Vancouver Island Is Ready For The World

Tucked away in the hills just outside of Victoria BC sits Canada’s newest luxury resort: the Villa Eyrie. This Tuscany-inspired retreat brings many delights together under one roof culminating in a getaway unlike any other on the west coast. Up here the air is pristine and the only thing you can hear is the breeze and the occasional neighbour that stops in. You know the type – bald and of the eagle persuasion. With a view that will knock your socks off and food that will keep you grounded, this place is going to come heavily recommended this year.

The newly completed villa is a beautiful and short drive from Victoria, or direct heli to front door experience which we at Butiq Escapes of course recommend. Life’s too short to wait in traffic when you know what’s awaiting you atop the Malahat.

The Villa Eyrie, for those of you that don’t know, is connected with the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit, which gives guests a bonus option of buying a supercar experience during your stay. That’s just one of the many unique features this resort is able to offer and guests are going to have a hard time resisting the urge to live here year round.

I’ve had the pleasure of eating at the Villa Eyrie twice already and the restaurant alone will put this place on the map. Clients who’ve booked food vacations with us in the past will want to take note because they often get work with local forager Lance Staples. The menu here doesn’t get any more local and it’s great to see the unique creations that have been coming out of the kitchen so far.

The hotel itself is splendid and I could talk your ear off about the views. Waking up to it every morning becomes a cherished experience and that first morning coffee couldn’t get better. The rooms are done well with a level of detail unmatched by most resorts we’ve seen during our travels here in Canada.

The photos negate the need for me to even attempt to describe the beauty here.

To top it all off, the Tuscan Spa offers a different kind of high. Those looking to truly relax will enjoy the views along with a multitude of spa experiences for both men and women. The views paired with a massage or a body wrap are a great way to unwind – whether or not you spent the day at the track.

There are a number of great ways to experience this resort on Vancouver Island and we hope you take a good look at making your way to the Villa Eyrie. If any of our clients want to add this into their 2017 itineraries just contact the concierge and they’ll make the necessary arrangements.
