Pipe Mountain Coaster At Revelstoke Just Opened. Wanna Go!?

My first trip through the Black Forest in Germany lead my friend and I to discover the rail carts that shot down the mountains and I’ve always wanted to do that again. Since work here keeps me traveling in BC for the most part I’m stuck here most of the year but that’s not all bad. Revelstoke has recently opened the Pipe Mountain Coaster which is a 1.4 KM track that drops 279 vertical metres and hits speeds of up to 42 KM per hour.

Running now until June 25th Saturdays through Mondays 10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. and on Fridays 4 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Once summer kicks into full gear after the 25th it will be open from 10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. daily. The price to ride this you’re going to shell out $19/29/35 for one, two or three rides. Children and seniors receive 15% off fare price which helps a bit. To be able to take this ride yourself you’ll need to be at least 3’2″ tall and those under the age of 8 will need to buddy up with someone who’s 16 or older.

Despite selling high end travel I find those costs a little on the high side as I can see people wanted to go down at least three times. Regardless of that I’m going to unleash my inner child this summer and make my way down to Revelstoke to try Pipe Mountain out for myself. For now we’ll just have to enjoy the video.
